FOHA (Friends of Homeless Animals): May 26, 2012

Oh my I totally forgot to talk about the doggies at the shelter. I think I am writing too many blogs!

On Saturday I took my friend with me since she's an animal lover.

Oscar
Oscar has been with the shelter over a month now. He was super easy to walk.

Bonnie
I wonder if Bonnie missed his brother, Clyde. She still yap at other dogs passing by no matter what size they were. And she would try to get close to them while I had to pull her back but she would hop with her hind legs toward them anyway. She almost looked like a bunny.

Tavish

Roscoe
Roscoe and Tavish were a joy to walk. I put a wrong harness on them though. Sorry guys! Roscoe was adventurous as usual while Tavish was waiting for his friend patiently.
Finally I walked with Savannah and Montana. These two were given up by the owner. They're medium size. Savannah's slightly chubby. You can see the happiness in their eyes when they looked back at you.

Click their names to see more photos from These Dogs.

If you would like to help FOHA walking these dogs, please contact them. You're required to have one training session which is usually held every month or two.

The Best Thing Money Can't Buy (from Real Simple)

The readers share what is the best thing for them money can't buy. Here are some of them I really like

A shoulder to cry on
Time (when your loved one is about to leave this world. It's my own experience with my parents.)
A thoughtful love
An unconditional love from a doggie (and any animals!)
A loving hug
An apology
Being born to a parent who really loved their children
The sensation of knowing for sure what I really want to do
Friends
Forgiveness given or received (or even witnessed)
A smile
Tears of joy
Wisdom through age

What is yours ? :)

I Complete Me

A couple days ago I came across an article and it puts "I complete me." on the list - basically know yourself, be yourself and complete you yourself before entering any relationship. I found it is a very good reminder.

Sandra Bullock said once "I love good romantic comedies, but there's more to life than just looking for the right guy."
